I'm Brad Milkie. There has been so much devastation in Ukraine over the last two and a half years.

Brutal bombing campaigns, towns occupied,

even reports of torture, rape, and executions

by Russian invaders.

But yesterday, Ukraine was hit by one of Russia's deadliest bombing attacks so far in this war.

A pair of blast has killed more than 50, it's injured hundreds.

ABC's foreign correspondent James Longman joins us.

James, like I said, this is one of hundreds or even thousands of missile strikes

over the last couple years, but this did seem to hit different, right?

What do we know so far?

Yeah, absolutely two ballistic missiles slammed into this military academy.
