It's very difficult when you love someone that drinks too much

or suffers from substance abuse.

Those kinds of holidays, and I'm putting them in quotations or like celebrations can actually

turn into nightmares for women like us but you are here and you got through it like I knew you would.

A lot of women in our secret Facebook group community always ask me about book recommendations and today I want to tell you about one of

my favorite. Now first of all I think it's important for me to give you the disclaimer that I am

addicted to books. I'm not even joking. I consider myself a pretty generous person, but I am really, really stingy when it comes to books.

Like don't ask to borrow my books. I'm not going to lend them to you. I'll buy one for you, but I

write in the margins and I highlight and I take notes and my, by the time that I'm done with them,

look like they've gone to war.

The joy that I feel when I walk into my local bookstore just from the smell alone.

Oh my gosh, it just brings me such hope.

And it's something that I really, really want my kids to enjoy as much as I do.

I always set no limit on spending when it comes to books.

Everything else I'm pretty strict about, but I really

want my kids to have an appreciation of reading, which is why at bedtime I always

allow 30 minutes for reading and I bought them

headlamps at Home Depot, you know like the kind that miners have.

So I turn off all the lights in their bedrooms,

but they each get their own individual

headlamps that they think are pretty cool and they can stay up as long as they want to reading.
