For three days I've been kicking myself for not including the segment in the show and I didn't for really

interesting Ben has dyslexia it's something he's struggled with his whole life, and he talked a lot with me about what that implies about the way that his brain works, and he also associates that with the way that bare brains work.

Well, I didn't understand the word until I was 40.

I flunked out a kindergarten because I was disruptive and couldn't pay attention to things and they were going to hold me back and my mother

I'm taking him out of school and she had me tested and they told her that I was extremely

bright but I had difficulties and that was about the limit of there was no term for it at that time.

Third grade I was mainstream into regular school and I got average grades and I continued to get average grades through college and I failed

to I applied to graduate school and my GREs were good in biology and terrible in English.

Couldn't get into graduate school. So I became a gunsmith and as soon as I started working with my hands I was successful.

That's where I got the confidence to do the work I was doing with Bears because I can assemble images in my head, all the rough parts of a firearm,
