Kea Starma, I mean, what can you say about this man? Not only unpopular in the country,

nobody likes him, nobody likes what he's done, even in his own party, they hate it. Yeah, you said

an unprecedented state of affairs, even John Curtis, the pollster, has said there's never been a

government that has plummeted so far in such a short period. Record breakers.

Period of time. And of course, now he's walking wounded. Once you've lost the discipline and

control over your party, I'm sorry, as Prime Minister, perhaps even as the entire government,

you're on limited time over here. And the great issue here, of course, is that let alone the

issue of the amount of money involved here and the U-turn on this, is the fact that this was all so easily avoidable.

This was a slow-motion car crash.

The MPs had been warning stormy.

It was going to come to this for weeks.

This is like a cruise ship sailing in bright skies towards an iceberg for about a week.

Plenty of time to turn around.

No political acumen by him.

No political acumen by Rachel Reeves.

Rachel Reeves basically just accepted what the Treasury said

without thinking I need to actually massage and egos amongst my MPs and so forth.

It really demonstrates the political immaturity and incompetence of the people who are running this country.

Absolutely right. I read a piece of The Telegraph this morning on the way in,

in which it was describing, you know, why this rebellion has happened.

And one of the reasons that it's happened, apparently, is that many MPs, particularly the new ones,

have never met Kier Stama, have never spent any time with him. You know, he doesn't go into the lobby very much.
