Now, Rodrigo is a 47-year- old author and retired high school biology teacher from Chile.

He was named after Rodrigo Diaz de Vivaar.

El Cede Campeador, the greatest hero of the Spanish Reconquest and characterized by

Charlton Heston in a classic film from the early 60s. His wife of 13 years is Zimena, curiously enough the same name as

El Sid's wife. They share their home with nine cats.

Rodrigo has been fond of science fiction literature since he was a child and is now a member of the

literature association of science fiction and fantasy of Chile.

He has published science fiction stories and portals and science fiction anthologies in Chile, Argentina, and Spain, and some of his work has been translated into French and Italian.

One in a million is his first publication in a professional magazine.

So my dear listeners, I hope you can sit back, relax, and let me tell you a story.

After so many years, it is strange that we should thus meet again, Estella.

Here where our first meeting was. Do you often come back? Charles Dickens, great expectations. One. One in a million, in a billion. That's the life we lived, like a particle of dust floating in the infinite ocean.
