Wayne screamed against the ball gag for what had to be the hundredth time in half an hour.

He hated the sound.

It was desperate, agonized and incomprehensible. He sounded like a strange animal that lies wounded and frantic in some long forgotten trap. He tried to laugh at the irony, but it came out as a

wet muffled sob. He sucked air noisily around the gag.

His exalations were nearly always nasal.

Snart ran from both nostrils.

He could taste it as it seeped in around his spread lips. Where was she? What the

fuck kind of whore was she? She wasn't even fucking here.

Anger coursed through him afresh as he strained against the manacles that held his

wrists and ankles tethered to the wall, but it was futile.

He tried to relax, tried to forget the pain that made his eyes water.

She'd think he'd been crying.

Perhaps he had been, he realized. And why not? Jesus, he had a right to cry. He whimpered

against his gag and thought back to how she had snared him into this nightmare. He remembered how she let
