Welcome to the K-E-X-B Runcast. I'm John Richards, a runner for most of my life, keeping me physically

and mentally sane, and I just ran a seven-mileer just now, did some hill work, so I am in the

mood to talk about running, or I'm in the mood to just sit and talk about running. Hopefully

it inspires you to run. I hear from so many people who write back. You can always write us Runcast to K-E-X-P.org, who are training, who are out just for a casual run, a walk, doing other things as well. And other people who are in actual races listening to the Runcast. I really appreciate that, that you trust this. And I love all the messages that came in. I'm going to be reading a bunch of those to remind you that you're not alone, because running can feel alone. And after the Ragnar runcast, man, I didn't feel alone at all. And you aren't alone. There's a lot of runners out there. Make sure you give the wave, by the way. I should mention that more often. See a runner,

you wave. Don't be that person who looks away. Even if they don't wave back, give them a little wave. You know everyone could use that because you know you could use that when you're out there running. We did a lot of waving out there in the Ragnar. Of course, big shout out to the Ragnar team for being a part of the Runcast and my friend Kevin Cole for helping me record that and hosting the one before it.

Max, love this guy. He said, writing to say thank you, most excellent soundtrack to my evening run. I went out for a longer run once it started to cool down. The run cast Ragnar episode came on and kept me going. The highlight was the M.L. And the sniffers yelling into my ears, I was going up that last hard hill on the cheap South Trail. Hearing from Terry, I was just at the top and running into the last remnants of a beautiful sunset to the go team, one of my personal favorites as well. Got home as Ken was just talking about his selection. He's got a voice for radio. I love the older runcast episode where he's

featured. Agreed. There's tons in the past. Then I bought tickets for that band at the Showbox Soto

happening the week after I run the Portland half and recover for another round of training for Sacramento.

It does look like a fun course. Thanks for putting it on my radar, John. Thank you, Max, so much.

I am now training for the Tucson Marathon and

going to hopefully get my best time. We will see. All right, let's get into this runcast. All right,
