So yesterday, when I offhandedly casually said to Laura,

should we reassemble for an extra special episode

on Saturday night for the election results?

Here we are, didn't want to let you down.

And actually, it's turning out to be quite an exciting

Saturday night because there are loads of shenanigans

going on in the Labour Party, in the wake of their

pretty pure showing in the elections

for the English councils and also the Hartley Pool

by-election.

So stay listening for all the very latest on that.

But we'll start off with the big news from Scotland,

which is that the SMP didn't get a majority

in the Scottish Parliament, but there is a majority

in favor of independence and another referendum on it,

which sets up a, you could say,

interesting dynamic with the UK government.

So there's loads to discuss in this episode of newscast,

which actually reminds me of the pre-pre-pre-name
