Wolfgang, everyone's talking about a great battle in the CDU-CSU coalition this week over who will become the Chancellor candidate.

But you wanted to talk about the Greens. Why is that? Well, the Greens will

definitely decide the candidate on Monday. At least they said so. They said they would arrive at a

friendly agreement. Mind you, the CDU said the same. And they didn't. So one could the theory

have a similar situation with the Greens. But my trust is that probably will take a decision.

The reason I want to focus on it, because, hey, well, you know, this is now Friday,

there may well be a decision by the CDU on Saturday and Sunday.

So we are very close to a decision or not.

I mean, it's quite possible that Zerda and Lashett will keep on fighting

next week. But there isn't really a lot to say at this point other than the fact that Zerda's

ploy on Tuesday, where he went to the CDU Bundestag group and told them that their seats

are at stake if they make the wrong choice.

Half of the MPs are elected directly.

The large number of those seats might be at risk if they went with Lushet.

And that seemed to have worked because there is now disquiet in the CDU.
