Summary

UFC Vegas 111 happened and despite a number of impressive performances, one can’t help but still feel a little cold after another sterile evening at the APEX. Regardless, Gabriel Bonfim made the most of his first headlining opportunity, shrugging off a controversial decision win over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson with a brutal second-round knockout of Randy Brown on Saturday. That’s four straight wins now for Bonfim, who eyes a match with Colby Covington as he tries to move closer to a top 10 spot in the always crowded welterweight division. On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss what options are actually better for Bonfim, and break down the best and worst moments on the mic at UFC Vegas 111. Additionally, we figure out what’s the best path to a title shot for Joseph Morales in his second UFC run, and future matchups for main card winners Uros Medic, Chris “Taco” Padilla, and Christian Leroy Duncan. We also dig deep as we make our wild card picks and ponder some fine suggestions from the listeners. Follow Mike Heck: @m_heckjr Follow Alexander K.
