We are getting ready for the Lions.

We are on to Detroit, as they say.

But since you and I last spoke on the charter podcast,

The Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings,

entering the game in the, I'm sorry, entering the fourth quarter with the lead.

Sure enough, an epic collapse.

The Vikings get the win in Chicago on Monday night football to start off the 2025 NFL season for the Chicago Bears.

I want to focus mostly today, Clay, on Detroit, but I do think it's important to sort of dissect, diagnose the biggest issues you saw from the Bears game on Monday night and how that can get fixed, hopefully,

ahead of Sunday afternoon in Detroit.

They got to finish, right?

I mean, this started defensively.

I mean, they played a knockdown, drag out, fight for three quarters.

They held this team in check, and they just got to put that into four quarters. Minnesota had five first downs in the first three quarters. They held this team in check and they just got to put that into four quarters.

Minnesota had five first downs in the first three quarters, Ruthie. They had nine in the fourth.

So if you can just keep that going, I know the offense, obviously sputtering is the bigger story,

but if the defense could just keep doing what they're doing instead of giving up 21 in the fourth,

you win that game.
