My name is Allison, thank you for listening.

This is a special episode that we are doing, kind of a rather diminished and rev left.

I am normally one of the co-hosts on Red Menace with my co-host Brett O'Shea, but we decided

to use our platforms to have a bit of a different episode with a conversation that we think

is important.

Specifically today, I'm going to be sitting down with two comrades to kind of discuss some

of the issues that we see in the socialist movement arising from an incorrect and honestly

kind of eclectic line on gender and on the experiences and position of trans people

in general and how they should be understood by Marxist.

This is something that has kind of come up in conversations that we've had, but also

in terms of conversations that organizations have been having internally and externally,

and we think it's important to try to get some clarity on this.

We're going to be using this platform that we have from these podcasts in order to

try to have this conversation.

I am joined by Esperanza and Ray, who I'm super excited to have here for us to dive a

little bit into this and really just kind of a back and forth conversation that's going

to try to look at what this incorrect line we want to respond to is also try to figure

out sort of what errors it's making offer critique of it and then kind of gesture towards

developing a proletarian line and a correct line based on social investigation.
