And we do have some breaking news.

Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center,

announced his resignation today, citing his concerns about the justification

for military strikes in Iran and saying, quote, he cannot in good conscience back the Trump

administration's war. This reporting is from the Associated Press. Kent said on social media

that Iran, quote, posed no imminent threat to our nation.

It is clear that we started this war due to pressure from the Israeli, from Israel and its

powerful American lobby.

So just keep that in mind for a moment that he's kind of washing the U.S. hands of any responsibility

or accountability in this war and blaming it all on Israel.

But putting that aside for a moment, Kent, a former political candidate with connections

to right-wing extremists, was confirmed to his post last July on a 52-44 vote.

You've got to wonder which Democrats voted for him.

As head of the National Counterterrorism Center, he was in charge of an agency tasked

with analyzing and detecting terrorist threats.
