Wow, what a huge congratulations to the cast and crew of the Dementelorian 15 Emmy nominations.

Including outstanding drama. That is... Wow! And Star Wars Resistance picked up a nomination for Outstanding Children's Program.

So it's definitely in the right category. And congratulations to it. Now the Emmys don't air until September 20th.

So we'll have lots of time to break down all of the categories. But I'm just blown away outstanding drama series. Huge, huge achievement for...

Not just the first time out for live action. Star Wars television series. But it's one of the first major projects for Disney Plus and their new medium.

Huge congratulations to everyone associated with that. And of course joining me in congratulating the cast and crew of the Mandalorian this week here on Rebel Force Radio was none other than my good friend in yours from Chicago Jimmy Mac.

Hey Jason, hey Mandalorian fans. No, that just doesn't roll off the target. But I wanted to do something celebratory for the Mandalorian taking all these nominations.

So I think I think I'm good just saying, hey Jason, hey Star Wars fans, that covers the gamut. But it's... Wow. So surprising to see that news about the Mandalorian. And rightfully so.

I can't think of anything that was on TV in 2019 that even comes close to the Mandalorian. It's truly excellent.

And we sort of got a tip that one of those knobs were going to happen a few months ago when the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

They made the announcement that they were creating kind of a new category as far as voiceover work goes.

And so that was specifically the Pedro Pascal category. Well now this is interesting though. Wait a minute though. This is interesting. It was not Pedro that got the nomination. Yeah, this is this is how breaking news this is folks were just I'm loading this on Jimmy Mac right now. No, actually I know this.

But it went to the nom went to Taika YT as IG 11 specifically for the chapter eight redemption episode. So after all of that and the speculation as Jim mentioned about them changing the rules.

Because the Pascal rule was about whether or not an actor would be considered voiceover unless they showed their face. And in that final episode he shows his face which got him the ability to be nominated as an actor in the film or excuse me actor in the series.

He did not get nominated however Jean Carlo Esposito got nominated for outstanding guest actor. There was a story that was in variety a couple months ago about the changing these rules.
