0:58.6	I think well over maybe 1.5 million I weighed in on this yesterday but today what I wanted to do is take a couple of minutes and
1:08.6	remind you about how dangerous it is to use the term settled science. Now it is true that some
1:15.8	phenomena, some scientific theories become part of the core knowledge of the discipline. In other words it becomes if you'd like
1:27.8	part of the tree of knowledge that that field has built but it is always provisional and that you always
1:35.3	leave room for the fact that something could down the line be falsified so
1:39.7	that which we thought might have been true 300 years ago we might no longer think to be true today.
1:46.8	So just think for example about the acceptance of Freudian theory in psychoanalysis and how you know if you now go to
1:59.2	Residence to do residency in psychiatry, you're unlikely to see the same focus on Freudian
2:06.8	analysis that you might have 50 years ago and so on and there are countless
