The XG for the game fairly telling and in fact backed up Clop's assertion to a large part given

they generated 1.8 xG which is a lot and United generated 0.3 which is a lot. And United generated 0.3 which is not a lot.

It's kind of telling that XG would rate that chance as being like a goal in every five times it happens yeah yeah I know but you know why
