Hello, welcome to the Theology podcast. Great to have you here for this episode. I'm C.R. Wiley. I'm a pastor. I serve a church in the Pacific Northwest, not far from Portland, Oregon. I'm just actually 25 minutes from the Portland airport. People can't believe that, particularly when I tell them about the town I live in and what it's like. They assume the worst, and it's really a great place.

I'm in a great place, too.

It has its pluses.

It has its minuses as well.

The good thing we can say about it is that's where cult manufacturing is located, right?

As far as I still know, there's still activity going on over there.

So I am close by to that.

I teach theology, Christian ethics, philosophy, and a bunch of other things,

and one of the places at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Okay, great. Well, let's kick it over to you,

Glenn, and it's your day, so why don't you just take us right into this subject. Okay, I am Glenn Sunshine.

I am in, well, technically, Granger, Indiana, which is, if South Bend has a suburb, I suppose Granger would be that.

I am 15 minutes from Notre Dame. I suppose that's our only claim to fame.

I am a, by the way, as a French historian, calling it Notre Dame, continues to be a painful exercise.

But in any event, I am a professor emeritus of history from Central Connecticut State University,

specializing in Renaissance and Reformation history.

I am also a senior fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview,

work for Reflections Ministries, and I run my own ministry as well,
