I'm joined today by the star of the show, The Man of the Hour, Jacob Ridenauer, who is a longtime college basketball coach and director of operations. Now does TV work for ESPN, the ACC Network, also does radio work for the Seminole Sports

radio network as well, an expert on Florida State basketball and also college basketball.

And we're starting a new show here where we're going to talk about Florida State basketball,

a weekly program talking about the Seminoles.

And really excited to have you part of the Warchamp family, Jacob. We've known each other for a long time.

You were at Florida State for over a decade. You were at Auburn before that. You've got a long, lengthy, successful career. We'll get into that a little bit. Then we're going to talk about the Knowles, but just really glad to have you on, man. How are you doing? Hey, I'm great, Ira, and it's exciting. You know, it's, I've really enjoyed getting involved

with, you know, diving into the behind-the-scenes side of basketball. You know, what I'm so used to being inside the lines, you know, it's, I don't have to worry about, I don't have to worry about the stat sheets anymore. All this stuff here is not near as important as it used to be. Well, it's funny, man.

Like you, we were joking the other day.

You know, I think so many fans through the years, people would ask me, so who's the guy Coach Hamilton's talking to on the bench? Because you didn't do a lot of the public, you know, even though you were part of the program for over a decade, you didn't do a lot of the public speaking in terms of with the media,

but you obviously had your hands all over the program, and you were at Auburn before that.

I don't know if it's on your business card. It probably should be on your business card.

When you were at Auburn, you guys won the first SEC championship for the Tigers in 39 years.

I think that's correct. That's correct. And in Florida State in 2012, everybody that's watching this remembers Florida State won the school's first ever

ACC championship. I don't know if there's room for that on your business card, Jacob,

but you might want to add that. I know, right? It's crazy. I wish I could have it in big neon

sign, you know, because it's special. You know, not everyone gets to make that sign, you know, because it's, uh, it's special.

You know, not everyone gets to make that trip, you know, and it was like, it was the buildup.

And it's like the exciting part was, you know, you didn't walk into it.

You had to put a lot of blood sweat and tears into both those programs to like bring them to the, you know, you got to plant seeds and let it grow and it takes a couple

years and my how college basketball has changed because now with the way it's set up you got

to win right now you know so but it was fun to go through that and and that team at Auburn that

won the league we had like Doc Robinson and he was a all-American point guard by his senior year. But he came in as a freshman and just came through the every year. He just, you guys growing as a human and as a man. And it's exciting. And the same thing happened at Florida State. And ironically, with the head coach of Florida State now, with the way Luke Louse came in and just kind of the team got better and better and better every year. And his senior year, he wins the ACC championship for the first time ever. We're going to talk a lot about Luke Loutx. His first season is Florida State men's basketball coach, the big win they had over Miami the other night, just kind of where things are in the program.
