Denton Day joins us as he does every Thursday in this spot during football season to talk some college football.

Of course, Denton is the host of many

college football programs on Sirius XM and the host of the commanders pre and post game shows

on this station and on 1067 the fan at the Denton Day on X and on Twitter. So the big sports story of yesterday and today outside of this market

is that Sharon Moore, the Michigan head coach, was fired and he's currently in custody in a Michigan

county jail as a suspect in an alleged assault.

He was fired for what the school said, quote,

was an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, closed quote.

I was unaware of, you follow this sport so much more closely than me

in terms of these kinds of things.

Without, you know, it doesn't seem like there was anything substantial or reported,

but there apparently have been rumors about Sharon Moore for a while now.

Is that true?

Yeah, there have been rumors, but nobody would address what the rumors were.

It was always like this underlying thing when you listened to some of the bigger national shows and podcasts and people that cover the sport.

It was like, yeah, like we think Michigan is going to be open soon.

Like, I don't think Shoremore is going to be there forever, but no one would say exactly why.
