In our current series here on Brightheart on Being Human,

we've been talking through four aspects of life where a man or a woman can grow, prove, and become more fruitful as a result.

Those are the physical, the spiritual, the social, and the vocational.

In well over a dozen episodes so far, we've worked through those first three categories.

We've laid out a vision for embodied

and physical life, for the life of the soul, for social life, living well in community,

and the family, in church, and your neighbor. We've talked about your people in place.

Last week, we introduced that final subject, vocations, seeing how our vocations are the things

that God calls us to do in obedience

to him. In this episode of Brightheartth, we take up the vocations of the man, the man, the husband,

the father, the head of his household. Every man feels the weight of all of this. Every day,

his choices ripple outward, the tone he sets at the table, the decisions he makes

about provision and protection, the way he strives to love his wife from wedding day to funeral,

the words he speaks to his children and discipline and encouragement and more. All of it matters.

All of it's heavy. It's heavy because he knows that as goes the head, so goes the household.

Scripture is clear in this order, by the way. In Ephesians 523, Paul writes,
