Brittany Spanos and Rob Sheffield and we're going to talk about we kind of have to talk about

Olivia Rodrigo and the song Driver's license that has just exploded the

universe this year and we'll probably use that to segue into

some of the other biggest and best debut singles of all time.

But this is a song that, especially for adults who weren't paying attention to her seemed to come out of nowhere, but as is almost always the case, it didn't really come out of nowhere. She was a Disney Channel star and she had this previous song

All I Want, which is from the high school musical, the musical, the series series whatever the latest iteration of that thing was but

this song like this song all I want before we get to the real song at the moment

all I want is a great power ballad.

And it spawned, and I didn't realize when driver's license first came out,

but she's the same artist who already had a really popular Tik-Toc meme. There's this bit in all I want.

You know, maybe we can play the real thing eventually, but it's like,

found a guy told me I was a star and it's such a prevalent Tik-Toc meme.

Basically, the way I saw it used Brittany

and you can tell me if there's other ways,

but basically it's often used in a really hilarious,

ironic way.

Like basically some loser dude will send the most annoying text message

like not even trying maybe some kind of compliment that's actually an insult or

something like that and then you kind of show that and over that

you play the Found a Guy who Told Me I was a Star and it's actually really funny.

I found a guy told me I was a star.
