ADVERTS DISCLAIMER:
This podcast has ads at the start of every episode. However never in the middle of a story or at the end.
Please be assured all ad blocks have been applied to ensure no over 18 or inappropriate ads are played.
However, there may be the odd occasion where an advert slips through the net because the company submitting them submits them under a category that is not correct. This happens very rarely and I do my upmost to stop this happening.
If this happens, please email me at shortstoriesforkids@gmail.com and let me know the following information: What the ad was for? What state you live in? And what episode you heard it on and I will immediately contact Spreaker to block the ad.
I take this very seriously and I really appreciate your support and co-operation.
As creators, we want your childβs experience to be a pleasurable one. Running adverts is necessary to allow us to operate, but please do consider the premium subscription service as an alternative β itβs ad free.

| 0:00.0 | Our guest reader today is Christina, and she will be reading today's story. |
| 0:19.5 | Oliver in outer space. |
| 0:21.6 | Late one night, Oliver was in his bedroom, staring out into space, at a collage of sparkling |
| 0:29.7 | stars through his telescope. Oliver was a curious boy, who often wondered what was out |
| 0:36.4 | there in all the swirling galaxies and clusters of light. |
| 0:40.3 | He had posters of spaceships from real life and movies and dreamed of faraway worlds. |
| 0:47.3 | Sometimes Oliver would ride his bike around the little town where he lived, |
| 0:52.3 | thinking there must be more to the universe |
| 0:56.0 | than everything he knew. One day, Oliver hoped he could be an astronaut and fly up into the sky |
| 1:05.2 | and experienced space for himself. How odd it would be to be so far away from the earth and look back at it |
| 1:14.3 | as another ball of light in the sky. Oliver had big dreams, but at eight years old, he had to wait |
| 1:23.3 | until he was grown up to fulfill them. That was such a long time! |
| 1:29.2 | He sure wished he could do something important and exciting, especially with space. |

| 1:41.5 | It was nearly 10 o'clock, and Oliver yawned. Boy, he was tired. Then, through the |
| 1:49.9 | little eyepiece, he noticed a star brighter than any of the others, a burning, blistering star |
| 1:58.1 | that sparked and spat little embers of light. |
| 2:02.8 | Whoa! |
| 2:04.3 | Gasped Oliver. |
| 2:06.4 | The sparkling star got bigger as it came nearer to the telescope's lens. |
| 2:12.1 | It became so bright that Oliver had to pull away from the eyepiece, as he did. Out through his window, |
| 2:20.3 | the shooting, sparkling star, whooshed over his house, and landed with a mighty thud in the woods |
