Summary

Four LSU offensive assistants under Lane Kiffin have returned to Ole Miss for the upcoming College Football Playoff run.

All are expected to head back to Baton Rouge after the postseason is over, whether that’s in a couple of weeks or next month, including offensive coordinator Charlie Weis.

ESPN analyst Cole Cubelic doesn’t love the move from a locker room standpoint.

“My only concern was, if I was a player, I’d be like, ‘Nah, you left. We’ll make it. We’ll be OK,’” Cubelic said Tuesday on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning, which he hosts with former Alabama quarterback and ESPN personality Greg McElroy.

The Ole Miss Spirit’s Ben Garrett believes new head coach Pete Golding has earned the benefit of the doubt.

potentially is happening there. John David Baker, is he going to be the new OC for Pete Golding?

0:46.7

First off, hey buddy. How are you? Doing great. Yep. It's been an insane couple of weeks. And yes,

0:52.3

John David Baker is ticket thinking to be Ole Miss's

next offensive coordinator. I think Charlie White's coming back into the building. I talked to a lot of people there in that building, and one of the main things they said, if we can get Charlie Weiss back into the building, he ain't going nowhere. But, yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that Charlie, you know, so down the road with LSU, and he was,

1:29.2

he was putting a really tough spot as one of those other coaches that got on the plane with Lane on that Sunday. And, yeah, it turned out that Ole Miss had to go in a different direction. And John David Baker, you know, from a seamless, like as far as schematics and a fit, it's a pretty seamless fit, man. I mean, he was a passing game coordinator and tight-ins coach under Lane.

1:29.2

Took that a very similar fit, man. I mean, he was a passing game coordinator and tight-ins coach under Lane,
