Come on back into another episode of game runs deep. I'm Sudeau. He's been. College football is more alive than ever before. Maybe dead even, Ben. I guess you could say dead. A lot of coaching vacancies. But before we get to all that, what's up, man? How's it going? Good, man. Made my first trip to Norman, Oklahoma for Ole Miss, Oklahoma this weekend. Absolutely killer place.

People were fantastic. Got there early before kickoff about 8 o'clock, pulled into the parking

spot, made a couple buddies, went because like the campus is pressed up right against like the

main downtown, you know? So like we went to this cool little bar, saw my friends from New Albany,

be it Lauren Conley or Melissa Grace, even Cassie Head, Stephen Head's sister, who's, she tells me like, oh, when my mom saw what happened to you, she was mad. Man, my family, bro. It was just, it was a family reunion of Ole Miss people in Norman, Oklahoma, great place, place great people and the person that actually showed us

the bar one of the very first oklahoma people we talked to is like yeah i was there in oklah in

omaha in 2002 for that series like yeah well we were too you know so it was just it was so cool

and almost got a big big win and then uh obviously all hell broke loose on sunday as the coaching carousel. So an absolutely insane, predictably insane weekend of college football, but even those of us who thought we knew what was coming because I've been saying on this podcast to you on my message board at the oldman spirit, open spirit.com, thudave on three. Y'all need to watch for Brian Kelly at LSU now, because I've been hearing some stuff, and sure enough, he's now gone. And that opens up another coaching hot board or

coaching interest list that leads again to Lane Kiff. And so I'm sure we got plenty to talk about.

Yeah, yep, no doubt. It was, you know, I think for me, the last time that job was open, I believe that was when they hired Brian Kelly.

LSU always seemed like the job that Lane would leave for.

Obviously, things have changed drastically since then, right?

But when we were in that kind of time where Brian Kelly was being hired, I believe, the Florida job.

I think both jobs are open then.

I think Auburn was open at that time.

I mean, there's a lot of premier jobs open that coaching cycle too. And out of all the jobs that were

open, LSU was the one I feared the most because I've always looked at LSU. Obviously as an Ole Miss person,

I don't like LSU. I like going down there. They're fun, but from a, you know, sports standpoint, like, do not support

them, whatever. But I respect what they do because it is really easy to win if you're an LSU

football coach. That's why Brian Kelly not winning was a bit surprising. You know me. I've never been a

fan of Brian Kelly. I was actually going in on this man a week ago on the podcast. And everything

I said actually just kind of showed up on national TV this past weekend. So I was like, well, at least I could, you know, a decent judge of character the way he was yelling at his coaches. This is exactly what I was talking about a week ago. I'm like, I don't like how he does this. But, you know, Ed Orsron wanted telling his coach on the sideline that this is what's going to get you fired i mean it's really
