This is your host, James Early, as always.

And I'm really excited today to have a special guest. My special guest today is

Jerry Landry. Jerry has been doing for several years a very in-depth, heavily researched and

excellent thorough podcast called Presidencies of the United States, in which he looks at the history

of the United States through the lens of our

presidents. Before that, though, you may or may not know listeners. Some of you may have

heard this podcast, maybe not, but Jerry kind of got his start with the Harrison podcast,

a podcast about the life and career of President William Henry Harrison, who, of course, was our

shortest serving president, only served for about 30 days before dying of disease.

But sometimes people think of Harrison as just the one-month president, but he had a long

and distinguished military and political career prior to becoming president.

And what Jerry and I are going to be talking about today is Harrison's career prior to the

war of 1812 and then his career during the war of 1812.
