Summary

35: I entered 2025 with a crystal-clear vision of my future. I left it having flipped that all upside down after a breakup and a return to the city I thought I’d never get to live in again.

The older we get, the harder breakups become because we are not only contending with a solid idea of what our lives will look like, but also with the social pressure to settle down and start “building a life.” But what if building a life looks like coming back to the thing that excites you as an individual?

I am so grateful for my relationship and wouldn’t change a single thing about it, but it opened the door to a new chapter and I decided to walk through it. Leave a comment or shoot me a DM if you’ve been through something similar. (Something tells me a lot of you have.)

Hello everyone. Welcome back to Working Title. I am your host, Margo, and I'm so glad you're here. My podcast has no official tagline or description, but I just finished editing this episode, and I realized that I may need to give a little bit more context to anyone who is new here. I've been creating content

0:23.1

online for close to 14 years now, which is absolutely crazy. And working title is kind of like

0:30.7

my diary where I get to talk through different phases of my life as I'm figuring out who I am, what's important to me, and everything

0:40.2

else that bubbles up to the surface in my 20s and possibly beyond. It felt like a good time of year

0:47.1

to do a check-in since I was a little bit distant last year on the podcast. I only got two

0:53.0

episodes up, so we had a lot to catch up on.

0:55.5

In the first half of the episode, I allude to a lot of change that happened in 2025.

1:02.1

So just so you're not confused as you're listening, I went through a pretty big breakup last

1:07.3

year, and I haven't really spoken much about it online. I needed time to figure out

1:12.5

exactly what I wanted to say and the important takeaways and what would actually be helpful

1:17.2

and not just me going on a tangent. And I think this episode does that or got as close to that as I

1:24.1

can muster. In this episode, I also touched on goal setting and what that looks like

1:29.4

for me now and a change in perspective on hitting goals and changing goals throughout the year.

1:36.2

And I also kind of dip my toes into talking about spirituality and trusting the path that I'm on.

1:42.2

Please bear with me in this episode as I snake through all of these topics.

1:47.4

Feels definitely a little bit more vulnerable than what I put out on other platforms.

1:52.9

But I'm excited for you guys to listen and even more excited to get your feedback and

1:58.2

hear your own stories if there's anything that you relate to.

2:01.2

Without further ado, I will leave you with what I originally recorded and I hope you love it.

2:07.5

Okay, I'll catch you in a second.

2:16.1

Well, well, well, if it isn't a practically defunct podcast momentarily coming up for air,

2:25.2

happy 2026 everyone. It's going to be a good year. Do you feel it? What better way to start off the
