Oil prices have today sought out of the world's largest gas field was hit by an Israeli air strike, a processing facility attached to the South Paz gas field, which spans Iranian and

Qatari territory in the Persian Gulf Gulf and was struck by Israel this morning.

This is a very significant escalation. As so far, Israeli strikes had not hit natural gas

facilities in Iran. Previously, the United States had been discouraging Israel from

attacking energy infrastructure in Iran, fearing the effect it would have

on energy markets.

But Axios are reporting the Americans gave approval for this particular attack.

And Donald Trump posted this shortly after it happened.
