review. Episode 268, F-16 on full afterburner does not burn 1,500 gallons every 27 seconds.

That would be ridiculous. A quick Google search tells you at max afterburn, an F-16 can burn

two gallons a second, which is 54 gallons per 27

seconds. Apart from that, good show. So I have to go back and listen, but I'm pretty sure I didn't say gallons. So you measure aircraft fuel in pounds. I'm pretty sure I said 1,500 pounds. But that doesn't get me out of trouble. Even if I said 1,500 pounds, the number's wrong. So fact-checked you're right. I'm going to go back and listen,

though, because typically when I talk about aircraft fuel, I say pounds, not gallons. I don't know. Sometimes you just say stuff because it comes out your mouth. So, you know.
