We reached one of those fun things where things add up together.

You don't get to do a whole heck of a lot of those anymore as we get deeper into the year.

I am joined by Ryan Boyer.

Today we are going to talk about some pitchers who

struggled in 2023, whether we think they can bounce back in 2024, but really taking a look at

those guys that were drafted fairly high and didn't come close to giving you the same type of value.

But speaking of value, Ryan, we've got something to talk about.

but hey, we'll pretend that this is your first baseball news somehow in the last 72 hours.

agrees to a 10-year $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which would be interesting enough

until our good friend Fabian Ardaea drops this in our lab, literally about an hour before

we start recording. $680 million of that $700 million is going to be deferred, meaning that

Shohei Otani will be paid $2 million a year over the next 10 seasons.

And I think the Dodgers avoided the funny number on purpose.

They're going with $68 million over those next 10 years.

Zero percent interest on that.

So good for the Dodgers.

They're not paying any Klarna or a firm loans.

Good for them on the thing.
