Today we're going to be talking about something potentially slightly more depressing,

but we're going to kind of unpack what's going on in East Palestine, Ohio.

I don't know if you guys have been watching the news about this,

but there was a big train derailment, and they ended up having to explode some tankers full of incredibly toxic chemicals.

So we're going to break down what happened there, what's going on, maybe who's to blame,

and why the media isn't covering this and talk some about our infrastructure.

I'm going to hand it to Hamilton to get us started and then we'll get this ball rolling.

us. Yeah, so I think that first we should lay some of the groundwork of what exactly is happening

in Ohio. So on February 3rd, there was a train derailment of a train of about 150 cars.

And from my understanding, about 50 cars were affected, including a few that were containing

very dangerous chemicals, specifically, I think it's called polyvinyl, no, it's called

vinyl chloride, okay?

And this is a gas that actually interacts with the water vapor in the air

and can have negative effects on human respiratory systems and obviously the natural surroundings.
