Ari, we had a very exciting finish to this semifinal that started kind of like last night,

where it looked like a team was going to dominate the whole

way and by half time I realized this is going to be a game I just want to know where Lou Holtz is

right now he's asleep in a chair yeah uh Andy just

Ohio State won Ohio State covered the spread Ohio State didn't dominate that game by any stretch of the imagination.

And I think coming into the game, we had this vision of what they did against Oregon, what they did against Tennessee.

And you just thought that, you know, Texas team that went to overtime with Arizona State just wouldn't be able to hang.

And the truth is, is that they did an incredible job defending Jeremiah Smith. I think you finished with one catch for three yards in this game. Yeah, I mean, they tried to force it to him a couple times, and one of them ended up in an interception, and then they stopped trying to force it because it wasn't worth the risk of throwing a pick. You know, and I think sometimes the value of having a receiver like that is how much attention

and energy needs to be dictated towards him to open up other people.

But the fact of the matter is, is that, you know, me being a prisoner of the moment, you know,

as much as I am on our pod and trying to work on that, you know, Ohio State to the national

championship game now has had by far the hardest path of

anybody in this thing. And the notion that they were just going to go through this whole

route without having to even break a sweat may have been a little bit of premature thinking,

right? Like this was a tough game. I think Texas's defense played their ass off.

There are plays in the game that I think you can go back and go, well, I'm not sure about that play call here or there.

But Texas made them earn it, you know, and to lose that way, I can understand would be very, very difficult because they had them.

And I thought Texas did enough to actually win this game tonight. And Ohio State just... What are we calling Jack Sawyer's play? Are we going to call that 92 yards to the heart of Texas? Yeah, they're deep through the heart of Texas. That was incredible. The 14 Zique run, was it? That was five yards of the heart of the South. Yeah. Yeah. That Jack Sawyer play was about the perfect way for it to end.
