Welcome back to Buckeye Talk and Merry Christmas.

I'm Stephen Meese, and that's Stefan Krasikik and that is Andrew Gillis, as promised earlier this week.

It's the first of two deep dives into the Ohio State Miami matchup.

Now that Ohio State's first opponent in the college football playoff is official, they'll face Miami in the Cotton Bowl on December 31st.

Which crazy is, and I was thinking about this, Miami actually kind of gets screwed

in all this because they get the least amount of preparation time for their next opponent, because

they played Saturday at noon, and then they're going to play the first game of the quarterfinal.

This game probably should have been the night game on Friday. Instead, just for the sake of

everybody getting the same amount of time but listen

I'm not here it's more of a thing and I'm sure Mario Cristobal will point it out at some point

of the millions of interviews he's going to do because that's what coaches do was fine things to

complain about but these are our deep dives as we did last year in the college football playoff

what we're doing each side of the ball today is Ohio State's all versus Miami's defense, and we're splitting these up in the three different

categories. It'll be the same both sides of the ball, this three different categories.

It's quarterback slash offensive coordinator versus defensive coordinator. We have the

wide receivers and tight ends versus the defensive backs. So that's essentially just the

skill positions on both sides. And then the offensive line and defensive line. I guess we can talk a little bit of the running back too with the offensive line, defensive line conversation. That's probably the best place to have a run game conversation. We're going to split them up and those three things. And we have questions we're going to answer with all three categories. Same questions. Who has the edge? Which side

actually needs to be better for their team to win the game? A thing about Ohio State and or Miami
