0:35.0	We are going to start with Ryan Day play calling because that is probably 60% of the Rants that I received, well over 100, well over 100, well over 100.

0:51.0	It's I sort of had a realization on Tuesday night, which is probably a bad thing considering I co-host a national college football show all about the playoff, but I'm kind of over playoff ranking discussions.

1:06.0	As Shahan and I talk about the college football survivor show, the first rankings are the second most important ones behind the last ones because you get a little look at how the committee thinks about things.

1:21.0	We're going to start with the Ryan Day play calling and I am, I think I'm going to end up trying to chill people out a little bit and I understand of course this is a Rants podcast.
1:32.0	And a rant of hey cool things seem fine, not much of a rant.
1:36.0	So by the whole process, we encourage strong opinions.
1:40.0	But and there were a lot of questions about play calling, particularly the run game, particularly is Ohio State being too obvious in its run game calls and giving things away.
1:53.0	And I spread a little bit by Bill Connelly, who did and then of the SP plus networks of the SPN great stats, great breakdown, how to chart.

2:05.0	Pistol formation, which is sort of that short shot gun with the back directly behind the quarterback, like 10 years ago, it was like, ooh, this is fancy. Now it's just normal.
2:14.0	I think Ohio State did it five times Saturday, ran from it every time and under center, they ran from it every time.
2:20.0	So it stands out 100% of the time on that Bill Connelly chart.
2:24.0	They ran from under center and from the pistol and then from the shot gun, which is what they do most of the time.
