Eric McMahon of M live, a Michigan beat writer will be a long a little bit later to provide his insight from the Michigan side of things.

Nathan Steven, I are going to talk about the matchups on both sides of the ball. And then at the end of this podcast, we will make our picks seven and a half

point, so high estate favored by the overrunters 56 and a half points. We double check Nathan six and a half was a line of

a year ago. Oh, high estate was favored by seven and a half seems a little bit low to me, but I think for two teams again that are very good, very good, but also potentially, I don't know, maybe one

dimensional offensive, a couple vulnerabilities. I guess I'm not shocked. I did check with T shoe. And certainly we'll get into this more. We did get into it more on the

gambling podcast. Like the Ohio State Michigan line, they set that like in September and just let you bet early on that. They don't do that with most games. They do with Ohio State

Michigan. I couldn't remember I couldn't find a T shoe said it was more like 12 and a half to 14 and a half on those early lines and it's been moving down the whole year. So it is a little interesting to me, Nathan.

From a two score game to a one score game, like from a perspective, just a perspective of how these teams reviewed, does that surprise you or does that make make sense to you?

No, I think it makes sense. I mean, Michigan won the game last year and Michigan has 11 and 0. I think there was of the two programs coming into this

year. There was less question about whether Ohio State could take a step back in the right direction than there was about whether Michigan could replicate this, especially considering Hassan Haskins has gone eight and Hutchinson's gone, David, a job was gone.

Daxon Hills gone, like they lost some significant pieces off of that team last year that were central to the first great team that they had in the long time. So I think part of this was just

some recognition by the public and the books or whatever. And plus Michigan's performance. That's the other thing to remember here. The line changes also because Michigan's performance, the handicapers recognize that and are going to change their power rankings as the season goes along too.

I think that's well said. I think the idea that you were setting a line early in the year on a great team versus a good team and now you're setting a line on two great teams.

I think it is more reflective of Michigan confirming that it's back and not really like, I don't know. I don't believe in Ohio State. I think that smart way to think of it. Okay.

CJ Stroud is not a Heisman quarterback this year. First off, CJ is an elite QB Ohio State is lucky to have him. He's smart, accurate, et cetera. That being said, he does not take over a game like a Heisman winner should when you watch other QBs Caleb Williams, Max Duggan, Bryce Young against Texas. They make plays which are the sole reason their team wins the game.

Last week versus Maryland, we had to rely on a true freshman running back to take over the game. Yes, some of that was due to Maryland's defense, but in big games this year, CJ has not dominated the game like a Heisman winner has in the past. He's done the job so far Ohio State's undefeated. I hope he does win the Heisman. If I was a voter, though, I'd be left asking for more magic. That idea, Stephen, not to have a Heisman conversation, but to have a magic conversation.

Do we think CJ Stroud is capable of magic in this Michigan game because the Heisman is great, whatever, but this is the game itself. You could have a great game Saturday, maybe Caleb Williams does something, whatever.

But the idea that CJ Stroud could have a magical game against Michigan is that what you are expecting more or less or maybe you expecting more like good, efficient, smart, accurate, maybe not quite magical.
