Carolina Hurricanes. They won. They got game one against the Islanders, Joe, but this is the kind of

game that the Canes are going to leave. I'm guessing the vibe in the locker room was very much a

glad we won, got that out of the way way but we didn't like the way that we played

well it's different in the playoffs show you know when we talked to rod brendamore and you know he has moments where

you can't tell if they won or they lost that's true but these are the playoffs and you need to win

16 of these and there are no pictures on the scorecard.

So while there were no style points tonight, and it was actually kind of lucky, if you're an Islanders fan, you're sitting here going, if Noah Dobson can hit an open net, you know, now it's two to one at the beginning of the third period.

The Islanders have the lead, and the canes are the ones chasing the game.

But that's not how puck luck works.

Buck luck is real, bracket luck is real.

And, you know, Freddie Anderson ends up making an incredible save after he gets saved himself by the post.

And then the Keynes immediately turn around with the nascent goal and to make it

two to one and really take control of this game and that's where it is joe you know you and i've

seen this now you know going back to other runs that the hurricanes have had but specifically in

this run under rod you know you kind of watch this team and you go, okay, it has to work this way,

it has to work in a very specific way.

Yeah.
