After Dark. Cains losing overtime again. They're down 3-0 in the series to the New York Rangers. Mike Manascoco, Kane's play-by-play is with us right now. Joe Jilia will join in a bit when he leaves the locker room. And Luke DeCock at the News and Observer will also drop by. Mike, the canes are officially in save mode.

I was optimistic based on Andreus Feshnikov's play.

I thought it was going to carry over into the overtime.

I was not expecting 90 seconds into it for the canes to be stunned the way that they were.

But I mean, it was an exhilarating final minute

and this is the unfortunate

side of hockey you can get hype for that

you can go get your beer at the intermission

I come back and you're set home just like that

especially how strong they played

to get to that point set up to, too, what did you see? Basically, I saw what I've seen in the

previous two games. I saw Carolina do a lot of things that they want to do, a lot of good things.

But when it comes down to it, if your special teams let you down in a

game like this, and this time it wasn't that they gave up power play goals, they corrected

that. This time it was the fact that the Carolina Hurricanes gave up a shorthanded goal while

on the power play, which I could probably tell you is maybe even more of a backbreaker than giving up a power play goal. So that's just kind of where we're at right now. And in this situation, you know, you just have to, and Shane Willis said it on the radio broadcast when this game is over. What you got to do now, you can't look at, it's not, we got to win four in a row against the Rangers.

It's not even, you've got to win game four.
