started today a little bit of housekeeping in relation to what's going on in the western part of

north carolina after hurricane helene a lot of recovery efforts underway i think people now that

cell service is getting restored, we're getting a

proper understanding of the devastation that's taken place. Like Joe, I was telling you this before we hit

record, we've been to Asheville a bunch of times. We love Asheville. The kids love Asheville. And in order

to give them like proper perspective, they're very familiar with the new Belgium brewing facility.

They have a really nice

area right there on the French bra that's pretty high up overlooking the river arts district.

And I showed them a picture that had been making the rounds of how high the river had gotten to

the point where it was up to and over the deck where they've been a bunch of times. And they're

like, well, wait a minute. You're looking down on the river arts. I'm like, right. All that stuff got submerged. So it's pretty devastating. And we're still trying to find a way to contribute to all this. But in the meantime, there's a lot of organizations, a lot of teams that are helping out. And it's coming from the area. I was actually texting with somebody,

you and I both know Joe, that lives out in Boone, asking him how he was doing. And he was pretty fortunate that they were high enough up that they weren't affected, even though a bunch of down trees and things like that was getting it difficult to travel down. But, you know, on the campus, I asked, hey, Is there anything going on with App State that we can help?

And they're like,

we're just trying to take an approach from the university and we'll go from there, not make it about sports. But sports is contributing

the best way they can. Yesterday, you mentioned that the Carolina Panthers, David Tepper,

they're going to donate $3 million to those efforts. I'm going to the community game for the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday,

and the hurricanes announced that these discounted tickets for Wednesday game are still available.

They also made the luxury boxes available as well if you wanted to buy in.

Additional donations will be accepted through parking, concessions, silent auction items.
