Hello and welcome to an hour fake history throwback episode.

This week I'm throwing you back to season 4 and episode 83 who invented your favorite

food.

And honestly I think this is a fun one. This little one off episode goes down real easy.

Last week when we put out the throwback to the Pied Piper episode I thought that maybe

that one was a good place for people to start with our fake history. If you've got a friend

who thinks that maybe they might enjoy this show perhaps the Pied Piper episode is a good

way in.

I think the food episode is a great way to get people who are history podcasts skeptics

into the show.

Here's the thing a lot of people think that history podcasts are going to be boring.

They think they're going to be dry. They think it's just going to be an avalanche of facts.

They think it's going to be the worst example of a history class out there.

As all of you know that's not really the case but sometimes it can take some convincing.

I think this little episode on food can be a great way in for someone who thinks they

might not like a history podcast.

I think this is perhaps one of the most accessible episodes of our fake history in the catalog.

Now when I was re-listening to it I was reminded of a little mini controversy that came

up back when I first recorded this.

Many people did not like the way that I said the word pasta because I said pasta.

Yes, I know it seems like a quibble but a lot of people on the internet don't like it

when you say pasta.
