The BBC has been told that 1400 people have starved to death in Ethiopia's northern region

of Tigray, since international food aid was suspended in April.

Russia has accused Ukraine of launching a drone attack on Moscow's business district.

The growing power of China is expected to occupy the leaders of the United States, Japan

and South Korea at a summit later today.

People are evacuating the Canadian city of Yellowknife as wildfires close in, but summer

yet to do so, and as we record this podcast, the deadline is less than five hours away.

There was huge relief last year when the Ethiopian government and rebel fighters from the northern

region of Tigray signed a peace deal.

Thousands of people were killed and many more displaced during two years of fighting.

Normally the end of the conflict brings humanitarian relief, but now the BBC has been told that

at least 1400 Tigrayans have died from starvation in recent months, because of a lack of food,
