Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. Much excitement this morning on the front pages, as it would now appear that there could be a coronavirus vaccine available within weeks. But the Prime Minister yesterday didn't seem

all that enthusiastic about it, did he? When he finally gets some good news, use that he can use

and promote as if it is something that is going to change the world, he doesn't use it. Strange,

isn't it? How very odd? How very bizarre. Apparently Boris Johnson doesn't trust the public not to get all mushy about the idea that there's a vaccine and everybody's going to go running out and hugging one another all the time. However, I actually share his lack of enthusiasm because it's not going to be available to most of the population for a very, very long time. If you look at the list of people to whom it's going to be made available, you've got to get down to number 11 on the chart before it's basically the rest of the population and anybody

under 50 and anybody who hasn't got anything wrong with them this morning. Instead, we're not

going to talk about the coronavirus vaccine. We're going to talk about a letter that's been sent

to Boris Johnson by a collection of around 500 academics on behalf of a parent's charity

who say the government is exaggerating the risk of COVID and using data to do so, which is

exactly what I've been saying for weeks and weeks and weeks. Dr David Livermore, Professor of Medical
