We had somebody come into the youth group with a machete.

As you know, they're not very pleasant items to have around you, and it's quite scary, and the lads were all terrified.

This young man said, don't worry, Daphne, I'll handle this.

No matter how dangerous it is, I see God working so hard in difficult situations.

You don't have to look far to see God at work, to just see

but I think a lot of us, we just had enough of being relentlessly bombarded

in 24-7 news cycle by stuff that makes you fearful and anxious and depressed and cynical.

And what we need is to hear good news that stirs our faith, that raises our spirits.

And I got no doubt this week you're going to be

So I'm just going to read out what you wrote and this is what you sent to me.

what you wrote and this is what you sent to me. Simon, my reason for contacting you is, I hope not too

weird. I enjoy listening to the inspired podcast and have passed them on to numerous friends who

also enjoy them. Whilst I enjoy them, invariably I finish listening with a real sense of inadequacy. When I tell my friends that, they laugh and say, well, if you feel inadequate, imagine how we feel. What I mean is that I haven't set up a multinational charity or business. I don't have a beautiful husband who stands beside me in my endeavors in the perfect family scenario, and I'm not famous for

anything, infamous maybe. I do my thing in my small corner of the world as a business coach,

single parent, an ex-senior vice president of sales, a trustee for a small charity and a self-supporting

minister in the jolly old church of England. Most recently, I've swapped hockey clubs and find myself being

asked about God as the whistle is about to start the game. The ride of a life with God is exhilarating.

So seeing God in the small things is hugely important to me, and I know it encourages others when

we reflect and chat about it. I wonder if having some not famous people on your podcast
