I'm so excited about today's episode because I think one of the sentences that I say the most on my social media and on my podcast is, I am not a doctor, you guys, but this is what work for me.

And now I have my actual doctor here, my actual gyno, Dr. Taise Ali-Body, and her she MD co-host, Mary Alice Haney.

I'm so, so excited.

And we are just going to get right into it because you guys are the experts.

And I have pulled so many questions from my community.

Obviously, women's health and

advocacy is something that's so close to my heart. So we can use your expertise, my personal

experience, and cover a lot of ground today. We're so excited to be here. So my first question,

and this is to both of you, because I think it affects everybody.

Why do you think so many women struggle to find a doctor who listens to them? And again, from personal experience, it really wasn't until I started to come see you that I felt like I had a doctor that was really truly listening to me and getting in the weeds and figuring out what was wrong

with me. So why do you think so many women struggle to find that? You know, I just come from,

I literally just left an operating room with this 20-year-old stage four endometriosis.

And very privileged child who had seen doctors and just, you know, I don't know if they're

not listening because in her case, I'm sure they listened. So there's so many different reasons.

In general, women's complaints, we get dismissed, right? Every time we open our mouth,

they're like, it's in your head, you're exaggerating.

Pynful periods are okay.

Do you know what I'm saying?

So they dismiss it, which drives me crazy.

If you saw what I saw right now in this 20-year-old, without me operating on her, she had no chance at having a child, ever.
