This is the Big Blue Banter. New York Giants Football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. It's always my co-s, Nick Falado. You know what time it is. It's time to break down the offensive film on the all 22 coaches angle, both end zone, both sideline for those who are new to the podcast. You'll begin to watch the game with us. Well, if you're listening, you'll be able to listen to the game with us as we go play by play through every drive. For those watching along on YouTube, watch along with us. You can find out, you can make your own observations, but also you can listen to ours, and we love the back and forth if you do decide to do either of those. So we're going to dive this thing i'll start by saying this nick i always like to talk about you know what's something that we

learned or what's something that we think different after watching the film because i do always feel

1:01.4

differently about this team and about what i saw on the broadcast angle after watching the film

1:07.1

specifically you can talk about like that slate and, the drop at the end of the game.

1:08.4

On broadcast, I really felt like that was more on the quarterback. It's just how it looked to me. It looked like Slayton was running wide open. It looked like he had to stop and turn around. But if you watch in the All-22 angle, you can see that really was more on the wide receiver, for Darius Slate, not just for dropping the pass.

1:10.0

To me, it's not just the drop.

1:13.1

Everybody's say, oh, my God, if you get your hands on a football, you have to catch it.

1:14.1

I agree with that.

2:03.8

I get it, but i mean this dude is like jumping high pointing he just has to avoid a hit that's a little harder than it seems especially at full speed for me the bigger fault there from slayton and we'll get into this as we break down the play is just that he stops it out, and tries to, like, high point it when he should be running through it. And that's just part of his, you know, deficiencies in his specific game, you know, and that becomes adjusting to routes, adjusting in the air. But there are actual things I learned on tape that I just didn't expect to see. The first one being how the Washington football team, or sorry, how the Washington commanders decided to actually play the Giants.

2:10.8

You know, you look at this Giants matchup on paper if you're the commanders and you're like, okay, we got a team that plays a lot of 12 personnel, the Giants.

2:11.9

That means two tenants of the field.

2:14.9

They play a lot of 13 personnel sometimes with three tenants of field.

2:17.8

Sometimes they bring in a sixth offensive linemen.
