Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson.

As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump day addition of the yard. Might be a little bit shorter today. I got some things going on. You know, I've been busy. Maybe you've heard. Been a little busy. You know, we're covering college football practice. We're trying to do some recruiting stuff. High school football is about to get cranked up. cranked up. We got to get out and go see some guys that are committed to Mississippi State, get pictures and video, and we're doing a rock show, right? Like I needed anything else to do, but, man, I've had so much fun the last couple days. You know, something I've been talking about for a while. Went to work on it Monday and announced today. We've got a headliner. How about that?

Use some details and a little backstory and kind of what's going to happen on that in the first segment of the show.

Also, too, another opponent preview today.

Pretty excited about this one.

And we'll talk some football practice.

We've only got a few more open practices left before the team goes into mock week, which replicates game week, right?

So they'll have kind of a dress rehearsal, and then we'll get ready for the real thing.

So we're down just a handful of practices left.

Of course, the Bulldogs will scrimmage Saturday at Davis-Waid Stadium.

I won't be able to attend because I'm going to be at the Mississippi Book Festival. If you're interested in that, if you're going to be at the Book Festival, maybe you live in Jackson and you thought, you know what, hey, I may want to go do something this weekend. It's a little bit different. Come to the Mississippi Book Festival. I am going to be on a sports panel, me and Neil White and Dr. Robert Kayat at State Capitol

at 9.30.

That'll end around 10.30, and then we'll have a little book signing there at 11.

And then after that, I'm going to spend the afternoon kind of chilling and then going to

see the band Twist at Martins in downtown Jackson. So I'll be there. So if you're looking to

maybe you can go see some rock and roll Saturday, go check those guys out. They're also going to

be performing in Stargable here very soon. Matter of fact, back-to-back weekends. Very happy to

have them
