Summary

Ohio State has been impressive overall through the first four games of the season, but there is the feeling that the offense has been holding some things back. Will the Buckeyes open things up against visiting Minnesota this Saturday night? The Golden Gophers are 3-1, but gave up 27 points in a loss at Cal and gave up 28 points in a win over Rutgers. Therefore, this could be an opportunity to cut quarterback Julian Sayin loose and attack deep down the field on a more regular basis. Also, how about this OSU offensive line? It is somehow not getting enough attention. We are doing our small part to change that. That and much more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish. 2025. I am Dave Biddle. We're going to be joined by Steve Hellwagon here on the Monday,

0:35.9

or excuse me, the Wednesday show. We're going to be joined by Patrick Murphy asagon here on the Monday, or excuse me, the Wednesday show.

0:40.4

We're going to be joined by Patrick Murphy as well here in a moment.

0:56.5

We met with head coach Ryan Day, of course, yesterday. We're going to get to some of the highlights about that. First thing, Steve, it feels like to me, I'm curious here your take on this. We have Patrick's take as well. that this offense, while not putting up, like, gaudy, like, total yardage numbers, it just feels like they could if they needed to.

1:17.8

You know, this defense has been so good. Do you feel like the offense has been holding something back, and maybe this week we'll see them just unleashed for the first time against a power four opponent? You know, that's a really good question, and I think that was something I was going to ask Ryan Day yesterday. I'm going to try and ask it today. The game started at Washington,

1:24.6

and it just felt like they had not taken all of the wraps off of Julian Sane, and they didn't want him to throw a bad pick in Washington territory and have the

1:28.8

crowd get into the game. They kind of eased him into the moment. And the two halves were just

1:34.5

completely different when you look at how things went in the first half. And then he came out

1:40.7

on the first drive of the second half and he completed eight of nine passes for 62 of the 75 yards that they went on that touchdown drive.

1:51.3

To me, that just showed you that they do have confidence in him, and he's earned their trust.

1:57.9

And I think that you're going to see more put on his plate as they go along.

2:02.3

I don't think it's an issue, obviously, this week at home against Minnesota. You have the

2:06.9

home crowd there. In Minnesota, again, defensively, we'll have to check them out and see what

2:14.1

they really bring to the table. But certainly when they go on the road next week at Illinois,

2:19.5

it'll be a hostile environment, sold out crowd there at Memorial Stadium.

2:24.3

And you hope that from the jump that they trust him to make plays,

2:28.5

because I think he's earned that right, no doubt.

2:31.8

Absolutely.

2:32.6

Yeah, you look at this Minnesota defense.

2:36.1

I'm used to them being, you knowstle ball under p j fleck he learned under trestle himself he was here at ohio state for a year was
