The Chicago Cubs brought the bats and the energy in a huge 10-4 win over the Phillies last night!
It was a breakout performance from Pete Crow-Armstrong, who continues to show why he’s one of the most exciting young players in the game, putting together a two-hit game, making an impact on the bases and showing why he's so valuable on defense.
Michael Busch also had a night to remember, delivering big-time at the plate with key hits that helped blow the game open. His power and confidence are becoming a major weapon in this Cubs lineup. The combination of the Cubs top three in the lineup - Nico Hoerner, Busch, and Alex Bregman, combined to go 7-for-15 with six RBI.
From start to finish, this was a complete team win—timely hitting, solid pitching, and nonstop pressure on the Phillies.
If this is a sign of what’s to come, Cubs fans have a lot to be excited about.
