I am in the middle of a tornado watch and we're just hoping that the power doesn't go out.

It is very dark where I am. But the funny part is I had no idea what's going to happen. I'm sitting

at work. I had to go into the office today.

And everyone starts leaving. And there's one particular coworker who never leaves early.

And I'm like, um, why are you leaving? And she's like, there's a tornado watch coming.

I'm like, my phone says nothing. But turns out it is and turns out the warning stats coming out.

So yeah. See, I'm not even working today, but I got all of the alerts that said,

federal government is closing at 3 o'clock today.

Go home early.

Every time one of those things goes out, it reminds me of a snowstorm that I think was in 2011,

where they told everybody to go early because of a snowstorm, I think was in 2011 where they told everybody to go early because

it was a snowstorm and I didn't leave early enough and I was on the car for like seven hours.

But that's another story for another day.

So yes, I was like, yeah, there's something going on in D.C. today.

The problem is, is like, do I start texting people?

I don't really know, but my cousin who lives there is in town and was like, oh, is it a long weekend for you guys? I'm like, no. And then she finds out that it's only for government workers. So when you said you got a text, I was like, oh, I wonder if they shared the same thing, but I guess not.
