She gained his trust and slowly sucked him in and bled him dry.

But he didn't take it lying down. Since then,

he's dedicated himself to exposing con artists and doing whatever he can to help people not get conned.

He's the author of the amazing book, Anatomy of a con artist, and he's going to tell us his

incredible story and teach us all about the red flags that we need to keep an eye out for

Thanks so much for having me. I'm excited to be here, excited to talk to you. Yeah, I'm excited to talk to you too, and especially about scams. You know, we're here to talk about scams. And I think we've all been scammed at some point in our lives, whether on a small scale or perhaps a large scale.

And let's just jump into why you wrote this book and why you're here talking to us today,

what brought you to this point? You were scammed big.

Like, tell us that story.

I was scammed big.

Yeah, I got scammed by a professional con artist who masqueraded as my friend, my best friend, for four years.

And she got close to 100 grand out of me.

And while she was getting 100 grand out of me, she was scamming dozens of other people all around the country with different

stories and different characters and different quote unquote routines.

You know, she, she had a system.

She was at the pinnacle of her scamming career when I met her.
