It really is true. You have friends, and you might notice after a while, wait a second, I'm doing everything in this relationship. Nobody's stepping in here and pitching it. There's no reciprocation. It's not a two-way street. I'm the one who always texts. I'm the one who always calls. I'm the one who's always inviting over. I've had that. Yeah. And after a while, you're like, well, wait a second, I'm done with this, then. That's just the way we humans are. How amazing is it?

And this is probably why it's so hard for us to relate to God's love for us and to even believe it,

that he would still love me, even after what I've done over the course of my life and continue to do.

He still loves me.

His love isn't dependent on me.

It's dependent on him.

That's really hard to just take in.

Like he doesn't work. and continue to do. He still loves me. His love isn't dependent on me. It's dependent on him.

This is amazing to me because I know how messed up I am. He gave everything for me before I did any of that

stuff. I mean, I can't do anything for him that he needs.

Like, he's desperately needy and he's waiting on me to do something because he needs it. He doesn't need anything from me. He loves me anyway. Trisha listens to the show. She made a great point on my Facebook page. She said, you know, I've noticed the people who are the most judgmental or self-righteous seeming. you find out later on that they're the ones that had something going on

too yes in my own life younger weren't you just totally oh yeah you shouldn't you shouldn, you shouldn't until you're faced with your own... With yourself. Yeah. But a lot of times, I think that's what's driving that judgmentalism and that self-righteousness, that very thing is that deep down, you don't think God is okay with you. Because you know. And so you're angry at other people because you think God's angry at you. You can't possibly be pleased.

This is why the word gospel means good news.

And what it means is God loves you not based on your performance, but based on who he is.
