We are 28 days out from the election, and we've got an exclusive look to kick off the morning.

Democrats are reaching into deep red Arkansas. The D-Triple C is dropping a quarter million dollars

in a new TV ad in Arkansas's second congressional district, a deep red R plus seven seat

anchored in Little Rock, which is represented by Republican Congressman French Hill.

A quarter million bucks buys two weeks of broadcast at 1,400 points. The ad shows Hill in a duck hunting outfit

slowly transforming into a suit-wearing politician outside the Capitol. Dems clearly see a play

here to lump Hill in with the swamp. There's been next to no outside spending in this district.

Hill is facing Clark Tucker, a Democratic state lawmaker. Stephen Shepard is out with a new Politico-Race ratings showing that the GOP House is crumbling.

A total of 68 seats currently held by Republicans are firmly in play rated as lean Republican or

worse for the GOP, while only a half dozen Democratic seats are in similar jeopardy. Stephen also writes that

there are now 209 seats either firmly or leaning in the Democratic column. Only nine shy of the 218 the party

needs to gain control of the chamber. And Rachel Bade has a story up on how House Republicans

are going nasty in their ad campaigns as they

try to stave off big losses in November. Is there a coming clash between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia

over the disappearance of prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Language from top U.S.

officials has ratcheted up. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement last night that

State Department officials has spoken with Saudi Arabia through diplomatic channels about the reporter. We call on Saudi Arabia to

support a thorough investigation of his disappearance, Pompeo said. Vice President Mike Pence also

tweeted that he was deeply troubled. New York Times is reporting that the president and Jared Kushner

are expected to meet with Kanye West Thursday. And House Majority Leader
